The heterogeneous collection of Sant'Angelo Castle
Built around 123 A.D. as a Mausoleum for Emperor Hadrian, it has accompanied the history of Rome for about 2.000 years, passing from fortress, to papal residence, to prison, until it became the National Museum which now houses on 7 levels a heterogeneous collection of ceramics, archaeological finds, weapons and paintings, formed over the years thanks to excavations and donations.
