Disabled people Entrances

The entrances to the monument, along Via dei Fori Imperiali, are equipped with ramps. The ground floor – first order– of the Amphitheatre is accessible. The first floor – second order– is accessible through elevators. Two wheelchairs are available, one for the ground floor and one for the first floor. There are equipped toilets.

Safety notes

Please note that for security reasons the Coliseum can accommodate up to 3.000 people at the same time. This could create significant delays in access to the monument, also for booked visitors.

For security reasons all visitors and their luggage have to undergo some inspections. To facilitate security inspections please insert any object (including mobile phones) in the bag/backpack or the appropriate box to be inserted into the X-ray.
